1990 Score Dream Team Wade Boggs Baseball Card #683 Like-New Condition. Ships USP First-Class.Wade became the first player in this century to amass seven straight 200-hit seasons in 1989. He also was the first player ever to gain 200 hits and 100 walks in a season four years in a row. Wade is the only player to accomplish this rare feat in 36 years, since Hall of Famer Stan Musial in 1953. The best contact hitter of his era, Wade started in his fourth consecutive All-Star Game in '89 and his fifth overall. He missed winning his fifth straight AL batting title and sixth in seven seasons as he finished third at .330. But Wade did rank first in doubles (51), on-base percentage (.430) and runs (113). while finishing second in hits (205). Drafted in the seventh round out of Plant High School in Tampa in 1976, Wade lingered in the minors for six seasons before replacing Carney Lansford at third base for the Red Sox in 1982. He has never batted lower than .325 since then. -DAN SHAUGHNESSY, THE BOSTON GLOBE
