1990 Score Dennis Cook Baseball Card #545 Like-New Condition. Ships USP First-Class.Dennis became a regular starter for the Phillies in '89 after his trade from the Giants in mid-June. He won his first start for his new team, defeating the Cardinals 11-2 as he gave up only three hits and one run in seven IP. After three starts, Dennis had a 2-1 record and a 1.94 ERA. "He's throwing strikes, changing speed, mixing his pitches and getting batters to swing at pitches out of the strike zone," said Phillie pitching coach Darold Knowles. Dennis had just as an auspicious start with the Giants in '88 after his recall from Triple-A Phoenix in September. He won his major league debut, giving up two hits and no runs in 5.1 IP, then tossed a two-hit, complete game shutout.
